"MY ALMIGHTY GOD WAS IN CONTROL THE WHOLE ENTIRE TIME"

Ellen Blackmon Beckham
21 hrs

This is my husband Larry's truck as of approximately 6:00am on Monday, September 17, 2018 on Hwy. 145 in Chesterfield, SC. Up until this point I have not posted or really commented to anyone but family members regarding this accident. This is an actual picture of the accident taken by Larry. It is not an after the fact picture like you have seen on the news which to me are deceiving. The road was intact when he began driving across it and collapsed underneath his truck.

The cab of his truck was filling with water and it was running all the way up to the very top of the truck. There was still asphalt between the truck and trailer at the time. He was trying to figure out a way to get out of the truck safely but with water steadily coming into the cab his options were limited. He at that time said God, I've done all I can do. It is in your hands now. A few seconds later, the asphalt between the truck and trailer collapsed creating a sink hole that diverted the water and essentially saved Larry's life. All I can say to this is MY ALMIGHTY GOD WAS IN CONTROL THE WHOLE ENTIRE TIME. He was inside that truck with Larry the whole time. He was with the EMS crew that came to the scene and helped him out of the truck and got him to safe land. If it had not been for MY ALMIGHTY GOD, my husband may not be with us today. I praise my God that he was there and that Larry suffered at present only superficial scratches and not major injuries.

Joe: I know you are adverse (at times) to post any sort of religious debate. As an Agnostic as I am, I'd like to ask one easy question:
"God saved the trucker, but who made the bridge collapse in the first place?"

God is good all the time!

Anon 8:42 God did not create (Aids) - man did! Does this help explain your comment. Man built the Road not God!

God knew this large vehicle could withstand and this man could handle this situation. Giving anyone else on this road a heads up.

Praise God! I thank Him with you for his deliverance and protection. My bet is your husband is a praying man and you are a praying wife. Life brings on a lot of horrendous things sometime but He is with us in the midst of it.

To aid in not believing go to utube "where did God come from". Hope it helps.

God said He would be with us through the fire, through the waters, in the valley, through our sickness, through the shadow of death; He said He would never leave us or forsake us even to the end of the age.

God Never said bad things wouldn't happen to us; but again; He made it clear over and over He would be with those that have given their hearts to His Son Jesus Christ, His children, at all times.

As a True Christian, we Know each day brings new challenges. Some good and some are horrendous, But because we are true Christians, true Believers we know who to call on and He gives us the strength to go through anything.

Bad things will always happen to good people and God says He rains on the just and the unjust. Hope this helps those that don't understand.

I'm sure this dear man knew to call on Jesus to help him out of that situation and it sure looks like He did...

8:42
Evil does not come from God. Evil comes from Satan.

I am thankful the truck driver is safe! Safe to do more good in his future work!

Truckers move the goods/services we need to survive!!

God created the weather events that led to the demise of the bridge that was built by man. Then he let one of his children drive into this disaster as a warning to let others know that it is not safe for them to travel the same road. Why did God make this weather event in the first place? Why not just have some rain for the crops? Why did He let his child suffer like he did by placing him in this situation? Why couldn't God just put up a sign warning of the bridges imminent collapse? It is a mystery indeed.

This is why I never give my kids a straight answer. It is how God would do it.

Inquiring minds want to know.

And There It Is : MIRACLES DO HAPPEN ON THIS EARTH !!! Thanks To You Dear Lord !!!! Forever More !!!

Good point. So I guess that anyone that loses their life during a bridge collapse is pretty much evil?

Very well said.

This kind of self centered mono theistic ideology is irrational. If the story is even true (unlikely), then attribute his escape to good fortune. If someone attributed this outcome to Zeus or Apollo this same group would say "that's ridiculous". How is it any different? You attribute personal outcomes to a deity that you have no more scientific proof of than the Greeks or Egyptians had of theirs. This (religion) is all human theatre designed to give meaning to your otherwise sad, pathetic life. Anytime something good happens you say "God was watching out for me" but when something bad happens you reply "God gave us free will". Do you not see how ridiculous that is? Religion has been used to explain the "unexplainable" right up to the point that science discovers the explanation. There have been thousands of religions and deities over the course of human history. In every instance, each culture was certain their deity was the "One, true God(s)". If nothing else you people are predictable and entertaining.

Blind faith = stupidity and fear.

I'm an agnostic but I believe religion is good for a lot of people so as respect for others I never say anything bad about it.

Ok kiddies....let me tell you a story.

EVERYTHING we can see and not see (dark energy and matter, for instance) ALL come from a point so small we couldn't see it.
All the BILLIONS of galaxies (!!) with all their stars and planets as far as we can see (and there is no end that we have found yet), all the asteroids, all the gas, all the SPACE, ALL came from a single tiny invisible point.
The deep space Hubble photo of a seemingly blank piece of space actually contained a couple of thousand galaxies. Which logically infers there are perhaps billions of MORE galaxies we haven't seen yet. All THAT matter is an infinitesimal amount relative to the universe. All from a point too small to be seen. I can see how that could happen.
I made that up. NO scientist --- not a single one - can tell us how THAT happened, or where all that matter came from, and can't explain the initial expansion, which exceeded the speed of light (something scientists say cannot EVER be done).
Scientists are scientists. They can't claim a power they can't quantify exists. So they have "theories".
Not facts.

We all have our BELIEFS, but even highly regarded scientists will say that the Big Bang has a LOT of unanswered questions. It's just the best they can do...
WE will all have our answer sooner or later. You better hope you are right.
