Where are all the volunteers from Salisbury??

Oh that's right! Rick Hoppes and Jake Day ran them off.

Only 15 firemen showed up? If they had a mutual aid agreement with Station 1-13 then they would have had an additional 15 or 20 firefighters show up!

Salisbury has nearly 75 paid fireman and it looks like no one off-duty came back? That's because none of the paid firemen live in city limits. Jake Day and Rick Hoppes are cheating the citizens by not requiring the paid staff to live in the city limits like many agencies do.

Kitchen fire = $2,000 worth of contents damage? My refrigerator costs more than that.

15 firefighters wasn't enough for single family home?

It was a pot on the stove with a kitchen cabinet on fire one man with a garden hose could have handled it. Only 15 responded on staffed apparatus no need for more help.

I once had a toaster than set the toast on fire every time.People tend to leave the kitchen while stuff is cooking.

You know that is not the question. The question is why there weren't more than 15 farmin who responded to the Far.

Sounds like you are defending this piss poor response from the Salisbury Fire Department as well as the lack of response from Parsonsburg VFD or Delmar VFD. The volunteer fire companies in the county seem to be scratching as well.

Theis should have easily been a response with at least 30 farmin.

No sh!t Dufus!! The point is that a reported structure fire with a 4 station response should have been at least 30 firemen on the scene. Quit throwing a deflector out there.

"Only 15 responded on staffed apparatus no need for more help."

Hey Joe, here is some food for thought. A couple of people on here are saying on this post there was no need for more.

Joe, do you remember all the stories you posted about the Salisbury Fire Department sending every piece of equipment they have to a fire or other incident. Do you remember them always saying it was better to have more equipment and firefighters on the scene than not have enough?

Sounds like their tune has changed since they ran off all the volunteers and no paid men are coming back because they don't live in the city.
