A report released Friday claims four of Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel’s deputies waited outside Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School while the attack was occurring.
On February 22, Breitbart News reported that one deputy resigned after it was learned that he was on scene but failed to control Nikolas Cruz. Sheriff Israel told ABC 13 that video shows the deputy, Scott Peterson, “arrive at the west side of Building 12” and “take a position” outside the school — but never go inside. The sheriff’s office moved to suspend Peterson, who resigned before the suspension could take place.
Now CNN reports that the Coral Springs police officers claim three other Broward County deputies were outside the school but failed to go inside as well. They quote “Coral Springs sources” who said the three “deputies had their pistols drawn and were behind their vehicles” when Coral Springs officers arrived. They said “not one of [the deputies] had gone into the school.”
The sources indicate other Broward County deputies arrived on scene, and two of those new arrivals joined with Coral Springs officers and entered the building.
The sources said, “Coral Springs police were stunned and upset that the four original Broward County Sheriff’s deputies who were first on the scene did not appear to join them as they entered the school.”

Triphling. But nothing like throwing everyone else under the bus cause you are caught, instead of taking responsibility for self & action.
And neither one of those cops were there to protect students from an active shooter. They showed up to watch, and wait for the shooting to stop. Its what they all do. If the shooter was using a knife in his attack, they all would have rushed in and shot him dead. And many like to paint our cops as heroes. I, for one, do not. They are collecting paychecks, with benefits the rest of us don't get, biding their time until they get a pension that the rest of us don't get. And no, I don't envy them. I would never want to work with a bunch of people like that.
It's the Sheriffs fault however he blamed the NRA! What good is all the current laws if not enforced? what is the current Policy and procedure of his department regarding active shooter? He as advoided this question! Why was the oldest guy in his department in charge of protecting 3200 students? Why hasn't the sheriff added Deputy's to the detail, he has the money!

No Israel...Your lack of success will be measured on the ONE kid you didnt put in jail and the 17 people he murdered while your deputies stood outside hiding!!!!
And the reason the kid wasn't ever arrested is because you are a democrat who just like the rest of them lie and create illusions. Less kids were jailed NOT because you changed their behavior but because just like all democrats you are dishonest and changed numbers and downgraded crime or completely ignored it.
But the NRA is the bad one. It was a NRA trained person who stopped the gunman shooting in the church in KY last year. He not only ran toward the shooter he then stopped a motorist and they followed the shooter and apprehended him before police could even get there. Again NRA trained.
That organization is who should be training deputies but Israel being a democrat wouldn't even consider that and would rather have children die, their bodies be riddled with bullets and arms and legs blown off before the democrat SOB would sway off course from the democrat agenda.
I noted that the governor favors confiscation of weapons. Who does he plan on Doing That? Certainly not these deputies.
They wanted to make sure it was over before going into danger. They learned that from Salisbury PD, and Wicomico Sheriff's department.
A whole lot safer to show up after the shooting is over!
There was no situational awareness and no functional preparedness, the two things most needed by law enforcement.

All the training and preparedness still may not get the job done. Here is a prime example that the Deputies were not ready REGARDLESS of years of service, training or preparedness acumen.
Fight or flight reared its ugly head again.
They only want to write traffic tickets, collect revenue and go home.
If that ever happened here and one of my loved ones got killed because some deputy was too scared to do his job and engage the shooter, he would then have to worry about me. I would not wait for any investigation or trial.

That's a load of horse shit and you know it. It doesn't take a superman hero to go in and help kids who are being murdered and bleeding out. At the very least they could have gone inside and been a distraction for the shooter. Even just throwing a rock at him would have been something.
If you are a cop and muttering this nonsense you are a coward the same as those other FOUR. How about that UNARMED coach who charged the shooter and took bullets meant for those kids? Whose shoes did he fill? He was a MAN who helped people in need with no regard for himself. Not so much as a bulletproof vest like so many cops wear.
I don't want to hear this crap "never walked in their shoes". There were four cops who wore those shoes and the entire uniform and did NOTHING. You are just as much of a POS as they are. Damn cowards. They HELPED get those kids murdered. I hope I NEVER walk in their shoes.

They could have also sent in a few AMBULANCES for crying out loud.
