If They Can Have A Safe Room At A Fire Station, Why Not ALL Schools?
Have you ever been to the new Fire Station 16 at night?
The only way you can access the building is to enter a "SAFE ROOM". The Safe Room doors lock behind you. Once you are in there you have to be buzzed in or out. The room has bullet proof glass.
IF they can provide this for a Fire Department, why haven't they been installed in every School across America?

School doors are supposed to be locked to outsiders at all times. You are supposed to be buzzed in! Looks like multiple things were wrong in that situation!
School letting out, gunman hits fire alarm, kids swarm out into halls believing school is on fire. These school terrorist are ahead of the game with their thought out plans. If a kid wants to shoot up a school he will. US needs to look at Israel plans - Todays parents will not discipline so it is time US requires time in service training. But Congress will never allow that while our children die in classroom. It is always the gun that kills never the mental problem with the one who pulls the trigger. Many still believe the gun kills, forgetting so do vehicles, drugs, or people.

We have schools across America without clean water, heat or a/c and you want to install some crazy safe room rather than dealing with the obvious problem of psycho's easily getting room clearing firearms.
I think some of you are missing my point. I'm not advocating for a safe room. I'm pushing the very inexpensive door knob solution.
It's the total lack of decent parenting, end of story.
This doorknob is genius. I saw where a parent years ago said to buy the inexpensive rubber door stoppers and put them in your childs backpack. If they have to lock themselves into a closet or room then put the stopper there and the shooter would be deterred or annoyed and move on. Worth my $3
That is becasue the powers at be don't give a damn about any of you or your kids (but remember everything they do, everything they say, and all of the taxes and fee raises were and are always "JUST FOR THE KIDS") and this is just more proof of how right I am, and have been and will continue to be... Why not go to those builders who are making tens of millions of dollars to build a school donate them. Besides, I own a LOT of properties in Wicomico County and pay a LOT of taxes for schools my Family does NOT use and never have. I already Pay It Forward!
Joe...why not meeting half way . Schools have armed Deputies. Do you know how much schools cost already? Does any one really need assault rifles? I strongly support the 2nd amendment rights but really, assault rifles. I know of no sportsman , hunter,gun enthusiast that would not agree with restrictions on assault rifles or high volume magazines. I hardly know of anyone who would not support background checks. Can we compromise, or are my rights less important than others? I do not feel safe in this gun crazed society.

Look, the way I see this country headed, we're going to need all the weapons we can get our hands on to defend ourselves from a snowflake lead government once they change the constitution, bill of rights and the list goes on and on. First sign of trouble,put door stop on locked door. Even if able to shootout lock, pushing door against door stop will make the door harder to open, allowing time for help to come or exit by using windows.

It is not about hunting. Or sport.
The citizens need assault rifles because the government has assault rifles.
