Another day, another reason to pass the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act.
Local media outlets reported earlier this month that a Colorado woman had been arrested at the Albany International Airport after trying to check in a handgun with airport security.
The woman, Haley Leach, 28, had been vacationing in Hunter, New York, since November and was attempting to fly home. When she tried to declare her handgun to Southwest Airlines representatives, they telephoned the police because she didn’t possess a New York pistol permit.
Despite holding a valid Colorado concealed carry permit, Leach was charged with criminal possession of a weapon and released on bail. She must return to New York in February to appear in court.

Oh I see, my 2nd ammendent rights are only valid in some places and not others. Somehow I don't think that is exactly what our founding fathers had in mind.
Well the next thing that will happen is search warrents for those that don't recertify and requiring shooting range owners to report the names of everyone that uses their facility. As long as people keep electing democrat idiots like Couomo things will only keep getting worse.

But the federal government wants to downsize and cut back on their regulations and make everything up to the individual states. So that's going to mean there are 50 different gun laws.

@10:47....please use your head before you post. If the the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act is passed it will become a Federal Law not one that is State controlled.
Get the reciprocity act passed. For those curious, it only says that one state's carry laws are honored in another state with similar carry laws. It doesn't created a national carry law, just reciprocity among those who have one.
Also if you travel to the great state of New Jersey WARNING!!!!!!
If you bring any ammo into the state that is hollow point or anything outside of ball ammo you are committing a felony. We have all heard crazy stories about guns so I am lead to believe that even having one round floating around your vehicle is enough to unleash all of the States officers on you.
