Boil Water Advisory Update For Fruitland Maryland
The City of Fruitland issued a precautionary boil water advisory on January 31st to residents of the City of Fruitland, and Morris Mill vicinity that are connected to Fruitland water service. The City of Fruitland and the Maryland Department of the Environment have determined that it is no longer necessary to boil water prior to consumption. We are pleased to report that all coliform bacteria samples collected after water service was restored on January 31st are negative. Residents and business owners should flush consumption taps such as kitchen faucets for several minutes before resuming consumption of tap water. Residents and business owners should dispose of any ice that was made after 8:00 PM on January 31st. Area food service establishments that were closed are now permitted to reopen to serve the public. This precautionary advisory was issued because of the increased potential contamination risks following an emergency water outage. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Subtract these Bad water days from everyone's Water Bill !
They should have an e-mail or text database of citizens so they can send out important alerts like this. Like the schools have for lockdowns and snow days. Then everyone in town won't be trying to call and get information and get a busy signal on the phone.
Ice bin itself should be properly sanitized as well. I'll be avoiding restaurants there for a good long while. I doubt things were done properly all the way around.
