Frosh: Sessions decision on marijuana legalization 'inhumane'

Maryland Attorney General Brian Frosh called a move by U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions Thursday to rescind Obama-era policies that allowed for state-based marijuana legalization without federal interference, "inhumane." Frosh said this decision has the potential to cause fear and disruption in nascent marijuana industries across the country, including those like Maryland's, specifically designed to meet the needs of the very ill.

Sessions simply removed the Obama unilateral edicts that said to ignore the Law. Frosh if you want to change the policy tell our members of Congress to introduce legislation to repeal the law. this is the way it is supposed to be done. then again this would require the congress to actually do its job. this has nothing to do with pot. it has everything to do with the rule of law.

State law does not trump Federal law.

The states that have marijuana DID NOT VOTE TRUMP even after Clinton said she would keep Marijuana schedule 1. Trump said it's up to the states. These same states also have SANCTUARY CITYS and refuse to obey the law... what do you expect will happen ?! Frosh is spending Tax dollars suing the White House to protect ILLEGALS.

Is the continuing embarrassment called Brian Frosh our token AG, or our tokin' AG?

Weed like to know.

Once regulated properly, the wheelbarrows of tax money will make many wonder WHY we waited so long! Think Tobacco and Alcohol folks. We still tax the heck out of tobacco (which used to be an economic powerhouse and cash crop) and 75% the country doesn't smoke anymore. Leaders just have a hard time changing their ways! Now alcohol, still an important spark to the economic engine where most us it. Now throw in marijuana to the tax base and instant revenue increase - which is sustainable, unlike casino's!

Now if Surgeon General comes out and says bad things with marijuana....entirely different story. Don't think that will happen if regulated. Just like cigs back in the day - everyone did it, Surgeon General was told to shut up and everyone did it!

Truly haven't heard any cancer causing effects of marijuana, just flack about it being the gateway drug to other things.

We shall see!

Depends on whether they agree with a law or not. Do you find it a bit ironic that cannabis is legal in DC but federally illegal?

Frosh is a prime example of what is wrong in Maryland and the United States.

1059-The government doesn't need more tax revenues.

Does any government entity really care about any citizen? Absolutely not, but they do care about a source of taxes. Thus, the legalization of marihuana in many states.
