Salisbury Mayor Jake Day DESPERATE To Get ANYONE To Run For Wicomico County Executive

The local Liberal Party is so desperate to get a PARTNER in Wicomico County they begged City Council Member Jack Heath, (an Independent) to run for County Executive. Talk about total desperation! In the near future we will be publishing more detailed information about this joke of a candidate who actually must get 700 signatures on a petition just so he can run for this position. Bozo The Clown, (Jack Heath) put your seat belt on because SBYNews is about to deliver your very own information that will absolutely prove you have ZERO qualifications AND we will also expose just how desperate Jake Day is to stack the deck with as many candidates as humanly possible to run for Executive in the hope of taking votes away from Bob Culver. It's all a numbers game Folks. You've been fooled way too many times and your local media has helped participate in the charade.

Ugly ugly ugly egos, harming everyone in their path. what a sad pathetic place this is. no wonder it's a craphole.

Desperate is right! Heath's self-touted CEO history is not impressive in scope or accomplishment, and his present tenure as president of council lacks any accomplishment at all, let alone any substantial leadership examples.

Yet still none of you are stepping up to the plate and running for office even though you say you are as republican as republican can be.

If you're looking for a candidate who has the energy of a doormat and personality of a dishrag, Heath's your guy!

If it wasn't all just a big scam and wasn't controlled on the inside by the powers that be in the secret society of Salisbury with all of the undercover operations going with the good old boys in my opinion your man would be Joe however the criminals that are running Salisbury would never allow it. Instead they're talking about how great the city is and meanwhile The whole place is going straight to hell and I mean actual hell as wellit is honestly all just getting to the point of plain ridiculousness

Jake Day is a Democrat isn't he??

Have you ever known a Democrat to be a real Christian. Most of them laugh about Christianity and the Bible when discussed. Especially on Facebook comments when they think no one is paying attention.

You better watch your buddy Libertarian... I mean Republican Salisbury City Council Vice President Muir Boda. He is running Heath's campaign right now.

Look at Jack Heath's hair line. If he grew his hair out and put on a red nose he would definitely looks like Bozo the Clown.

When does his time expire?

8:59, that's because most of us Republicans had sense enough to move out of the city limits years ago.

Oh don't forget about this gem. This happened under Jack Heath's watch so when he starts bragging about his great leadership experience don't forget to remind everyone about this! For all we know Mr. Heath may have had his hand in the till. Why do you think he resigned around the same time Ms. Malone left LSE and right after the theft was discovered??

"$70,000 theft alleged at Shore nonprofit"
By Vanessa Junkin; Published 12:00 a.m. ET Jan. 28, 2014

SALISBURY – A former chief operating officer of Lower Shore Enterprises Inc. has been indicted in connection with the theft of tens of thousands of dollars from the nonprofit.

Brenda Malone, 43, of Willards is facing two counts of theft: $1,000 to less than $10,000; and theft: $10,000 to less than $100,000 after Monday’s indictment by a grand jury. The thefts occurred as far back as 2005, authorities said.

Wicomico County Deputy State’s Attorney Ella Disharoon said Tuesday it’s alleged that Malone took more than $70,000 from the Salisbury nonprofit, although she wasn’t able to disclose other details about the case prior to the trial.

The thefts from Lower Shore Enterprises — a nonprofit that helps people with disabilities get jobs — are alleged to have occurred June 29, 2012; between Nov. 1, 2011 to May 30, 2012; and between Oct. 5, 2005 to Sept. 5, 2012, according to the indictment.

Malone did not respond to a Facebook message about the case on Tuesday, nor to a phone message left at her home Tuesday evening.

The nonprofit’s officials issued this statement: “In the standard course of business, Lower Shore Enterprises staff uncovered some financial irregularities and reported them to the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office and the Wicomico County State’s Attorney. LSE cooperated fully with the authorities in the subsequent investigation. We will be unable to discuss the matter further until the case is resolved.”

Luis Luna, who has been chief executive officer of Lower Shore Enterprises since July, provided the statement. Both retired CEO Jack Heath and Board of Directors Chairman Dr. Richard McCann gave essentially identical statements when reached. They would not speak about the case beyond that.

Malone has not been with Lower Shore Enterprises since September 2012. He would not say whether she resigned or was fired.

She had been chief operating officer for about six years. Malone started working at the nonprofit in 1989 as a receptionist.

This happened under Jack Heath's watch as the CEO of Lower Shore Enterprises for 6 years. He should be held responsible for this theft.

"Woman pleads guilty in Lower Shore Enterprises theft"
Vanessa Junkin, vjunkin@dmg.gannett.comPublished 5:25 p.m. ET Aug. 6, 2014 | Updated 5:36 p.m. ET Aug. 6, 2014

• Brenda Malone, 43, of Willards pleaded guilty to theft: $10,000 to under $100,000 on Monday.

• She will have to pay $75,952.05 in restitution to Lower Shore Enterprises, her former employer.

• Malone was sentenced to 10 years of suspended time.

A Willards woman avoided an active prison sentence in an internal theft from Lower Shore Enterprises, but will have to pay more than $75,000 in restitution to the nonprofit.

Brenda Malone, 43, pleaded guilty to a count of theft: $10,000 to under $100,000 on Monday, and she was sentenced to 10 years of suspended time. Two other theft counts were dismissed against Malone, who was formerly a Lower Shore Enterprises employee.

As a condition of her five-year supervised probation, Malone will have to pay back $75,952.05 to Lower Shore Enterprises, according to court records. If she were to violate her probation by not paying the restitution, she could face up to 10 years in prison.

Lower Shore Enterprises is a nonprofit based in Salisbury that helps local people with disabilities find work.

Wicomico County Deputy State's Attorney Ella Disharoon said Lower Shore Enterprises wanted Malone to pay the restitution and have a felony conviction –– which she now does.

"It was more important to them that the money be repaid than for her to go to jail," Disharoon said.

Malone's defense attorney, John Phoebus, said the Division of Parole and Probation will determine a restitution schedule for Malone to pay the money back over time.

He said she decided to take the plea "primarily because it avoided any active period of incarceration for her at all."

The binding nature of the plea agreement made it so that the sentence would be suspended, Phoebus said. Disharoon said the binding plea also included the restitution and the 5-year period of probation.

By making the guilty plea, Malone has accepted responsibility, Phoebus said.

The theft Malone pleaded guilty to took place between Oct. 5, 2005, to Sept. 5, 2012. The indictment in the case was filed in January 2014.

Jack Heat is responsible for this theft and I have talked to board members at the Lower Shore Enterprises and they said a Hell of a lot more money is missing and unaccounted for. You do the math!

How pathetic is he. Jack needs to retire, old goat.

Agreed, but Jack Heath is an independent.

Muir Boda is a Libertarian posing as a Republican.

Jake Day is a corrupt Democrat.

If Jack Heath gets elected as the Wicomico County Executive then you can kiss Wicomico County good bye and welcome in The County of Salisbury. All of the non-municipal areas of the County will be annexed into the City of Salisbury and everyone of you will be paying double taxes.

Is that what you want?

Um, this has absolutely nothing to do with a Republican living in or out of the city limits. Anyone living in Wicomico County can run for County Executive.

Don't necessarily disagree with your premise but your math ( double) could use some checking

Heath has spoken in favor of tripling the mayor's salary to $75,000, and Boda too.

Man Jake day has said screw all of you in Salisbury/wicomico county!! @7:33 I think it was pretty accurate, Jake day will inevitability hit all the county property owners with a combined city/county tax. I looked at a piece of property that is in rural wicomico county but annexed city of fruitland and the property tax is close to 5,000 year. That's just a piece of land roughly less than 100 acres with a third of it nothing but useless marsh. So I say to all you better get ready for a battle because Jake DAT has planned a major assault on ALL wicomico/Salisbury taxpayers. In his mind he's going to continue to rob you blind to implement his personal social agenda via Salisbury mayors office. County residents get ready to start coughing up your part in paying for Jakes newly created high paying positions for all his friends and his infamous folk festival. This guy is a snake and needs to be run out of government

I'm assuming this tripling of Jake day's salary comes from praying about it and gods prosperity and blessing right Day?? This is ridiculous what these little clics are getting away with at taxpayers expense.

and now Josh Hastings has filed for Dist 4. John Hall's seat. Imagine if Heath and Hastings get in?!?! Not good for those of us that prefer county living.
