Public’s Help Sought As Investigation of ATM Burglaries Continue In Dorchester Co. and Queen Anne’s Co.

(CAMBRIDGE, MD) – Investigators search for suspects responsible for ATM burglaries in Dorchester and Queen Anne’s County and urge anyone with relevant information to call police.

Shortly after 3:00 a.m. this morning, Easton Barrack received a 911 call from the Dorchester 911 Center advising of a glass breakage alarm at a convenience store in Cambridge. Investigators from the Easton Barrack and State Police crime scene technicians responded to the scene to process it for evidence and continue the investigation.

The investigation revealed two suspects forced entry into the business by breaking the glass in front of the building. The suspects were wearing dark clothing, masks and gloves. Upon entering the business, the suspects backed a dark colored pickup truck up to the store, hooked a chain or rope to the ATM machine and pulled it through the front of the building.

Approximately 35 – 45 minutes prior, police believe the same suspects committed the same crime at a convenience store in Queen Anne’s County. This incident is being investigated by the Queen Anne’s County Sheriff’s Department. Police believe the possible suspect vehicle involved in both crimes is a dark colored Dodge Ram pickup truck.

Anyone with information is urged to call the Easton Barrack at 410-822-3101 as police continue to search area businesses and neighborhoods. The investigation is continuing.
