Zakaria: Trump's Win Was a Slap in the Face to us Elites

Six months later...CNN's Fareed Zakaria has it figured out. Or at least he thinks he does.

Donald Trump became President Trump, the host mused, because Americans wanted to stick it to the elites.

"The election of Donald Trump is really a kind of class rebellion against people like us, educated professionals who live in cities, who have cosmopolitan views about things," Zakaria said.

"There's a part of America that is sick and tired of being told what to do by this overeducated population that Hillary Clinton perfectly represented. That's why they're sticking with him," he continued. (Free Beacon)

Zakaria went on to argue that during the campaign Trump monopolized on the "ugly racial animus" many voters already felt having to endure eight years of a black president. They felt threatened, Zakaria suggested, that minorities were beginning to try to claim the dominant status once held by the "white working man."

How often have we heard these same excuses from liberals? Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton blamed racism and sexism for her loss too - along with, of course, Russia and FBI Director James Comey. She's even writing a book what she thinks happened.

Now, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer is finally admitting what the rest of us already knew - Hillary was an awful candidate. They had the right message, he argued. They just didn't have the right messenger.

Yet, too many "astute" analysts like Zakaria fail to consider that maybe Americans voted Trump into office because they liked his ideas and the direction he wanted to take the country.

He's a talking head on a lousy cable network. His mirror needs an adjustment if he sees himself as an 'elite'. First and foremost he's a jerk. End of story as it relates to him.

Unless you're one of the elites that stands to profit from his tax cuts, the tax relief you'll receive from his health care plans or the lucky few whose companies will benefit from the many regulations he's rolling back for profit.

He has just revealed how they REALLY look at the rest of America.
We poor, uneducated, Christian, gun-toting, redneck, bigoted deplorable citizens NEED them to comfort us as they transition us (only THEY know what's really good for us) into a new world.
Only THEY have the right ideas.
Throughout history, elite professionals followed the same course as they are following here -- straight to the guillotine.
They LOST because what they are telling us is total BS -- 20 TRILLION in debt DOES matter, no matter how much they SAY it doesn't. Same with "accepting" a 6'2" man wearing a dress and walking into the ladies room right behind your 7 year old daughter. The same goes for telling us that 20 million illegal immigrants are no problem, except for racist bigots. And guns? WE must be disarmed for our own good (while THEY surround themselves with a small army of armed killers -- who are protecting them from US).
The list of "who ya gonna believe -- ME or your lying eyes???" is very long.
Bottom line? Just because you keep insisting that the sky is green, we can still look up and see it is blue. YOU keep saying it's green and belittling anyone who says it's not. It's how elite educated professionals work.
The guillotine and some rope are your inevitable fate. Always. Every time.
Have fun while you can.
Keep cheering.

Trump is President in name only.

He can not issue EO's without the permission of Kelly or McMasters.

He is forced to fire any staff on his side. Thus Moochi gone and many more.

Kelly now has Trump hog tied so no one can see him without Kelly' permission.

Trump is not allowed to fire Sessions, McMasters Muller and on and on and on.

Trump won the votes. The Presidency. Not so much.
