Sen. Kamala Harris: It’s Time To Ban Private Ownership of ‘Assault Weapons’

For anyone out there that just kind of figured that Kamala Harris was another loony leftist that was pretty much harmless, you might want to rethink that. Right now, she is leading the pack to run for the presidency for the left in 2020. That’s if Mark Zuckerberg doesn’t get it. She tweeted last Thursday, that it is “past time” to ban private ownership of “assault weapons.” There it is… if the left gets in power, they fully intend to come for your guns and ban them.

She’s hiding behind her claim that it is for public safety… you know, for our own good. And she would expand the definition of assault weapons to all guns. I have absolutely no doubt about that. None. Gun-related deaths are not the problem here. Progressive ideas and political agendas that let criminals run wild and do what they want are the root cause here. By banning guns, you hurt good, innocent people and leave them at the mercy of predators who don’t follow the law. This woman considers any gun that is black to be a so-called assault weapon. She has no idea what she’s talking about. Or even worse, maybe she does.

Ban Dodge Challengers, too, they kill people as well, right?

No, there's only one gun law, and it is called our Constitution's Second Amendment,

"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

There shall be no other. All others are "Unconstitutional" by definition.

Period

She's a LAWYER. That eliminates any chance of 'harmless'.

9:25 There are end runs around the constitution. Maybe you should try studying the democratic play book rather than thinking they are stupid and calling them names. 2A covers guns not ammunition. The government can shut down ammo production, ban ammo sales or tax ammo sales so severely that the companies go out of business on their own. Don't be naive.

Her start and ascension in CA makes for interesting reading. She benefited enormously from her personal friendships. Get informed.

President Trump isn't going to lose and we have a couple years before the election. He won he is a great President and the peoples champ. CNN gets him more votes every day. If Trump wasn't using the media he would take credentials and be done with them. Trump is the head of NSA you can best believe he knows ALL the dirty secrets on the fake news people.

Don't be so sure 12:14. Trump has failed to repeal obmamacare and no tax reform. There are many moderate republicans that are not happy with the little feel good items he has done that did not require house or senate approval. People are abandoning ship in the Whitehouse too.

Don't be so sure. The supreme court has ruled in the past that severe restriction on gun ownership or restrictions on permits is essentially contrary to the second amendment.
It just goes to follow that a gun is nothing but a chunk of metal without ammo and any attempt to ban ammo would be the same as banning the gun.

What is WRONG with Californian's and what trash are they smoking when going to the voting booth?

Good Grief!

10:02, I called no names. Maybe you should re read what I wrote. I just stated plain and simple facts. The 2a does not exclude ammunition at all. Where do you read that? If one is armed, one is able to defend.

Period.

8:45 Don't take it so personally. There are laws already on the books prohibiting felons from possession of ammunition that did not exist 30 years ago. I own many firearms and have thousands of rounds but some states have been making it more difficult to purchase, requiring ID to purchase etc. Read a book once in a while rather than listening to Rush all day.

On Jan. 1, 2016, Seattle’s $25 per gun tax took effect, as did a two cent to five cent tax per round of ammunition. The new taxes have already forced at least one major gun dealer to leave the city.

On June 1, 2016, Cook County’s new ammunition tax takes effect, at a rate of one cent to five cents per round of ammunition. The ammo tax comes on top of the existing gun tax regime of $25 per gun.

A $1,000 per gun tax should serve as a “role model” for states, according to the governor of the U.S. territory of the Northern Mariana Islands, which imposed the $1,000 gun tax earlier in 2016.

Every gun is an "assault weapon" in a thug's hand. If they can ban one class of weapon, the next step is to ban them all.

She does not know what she is talking about. We do not own assault weapons. We own rifles. Some people can buy fully automatic weapons, but with a hefty amount of money you have to pay for the "right" to own one. These anti gun nuts need an education.
