Yep. And yet, somehow, I survived!

1:55 -- We sure did and it was great fun

Sure do, but could you swing high enough to go over the top!?

OMG! That is my exact swingset I had as a child!!! Does everyone remember how the rusty bolts would stick out and you just covered them with a little rubber piece. Old swingsets caused many a tetanus shot.

My dad just put cement footers on the legs to keep them in the ground. When we moved, he had to bust them off with a sledge hammer so the set could be moved to our next home.

Yes, I remember well. Also, when we cut ourselves on the rusty bolts our mom cleaned up our cuts and we did NOT sue the company that made the swingset we just went back to playing! I miss those days for sure.

Was a far much better time in life

I agree that life was so much better back then before computers and cell phones.
The technology has truly enslaved us.

The only thing missing is the sliding board! We used to use wax paper on it to make it "faster" and you knew that when it was hot out to stay off of it!

Yep.
That little two seat box swing was truly dangerous. A whole lot of fun, too.
Anyone else have battles with their friends or family while swinging?
How about reaching the apex of the swing and JUMPING??
