Well you know - it is all that Global Warming and now that Trump has taken us out of the Paris Accord, well, it is all downhill from there. Much doom and gloom ahead!

....Oh wait - it is July/August and it is cooler outside? Well that can't be. I mean Al Gore said the planet is heating up. That doesn't make sense... I'm confused....

Apparently, you people aren't up on the news. A main electric transmission line was severed and the island has no electricity beyond generators. All vacationers were evacuated. only year round residents are allowed on the island. Although businesses and the rental market is getting hit hard. it is peaceful on the beaches and roadways at ehat is usually their busiest weeks.

What a shame for visitors who had paid for their rooms and vacations in advance I hope the establishments give them rainchecks for other dates. The accident is probably something that could have been avoided, a shame for this area. My husband served in the Coast Guard @ Hatteras years ago still a beautiful spot.
