A Letter To The Editor: Princess Anne Police Dept. 6-1-17

Can you tell me what I can do about a police officer from the Princess Anne Police Dept. abusing an elderly man? This man who is 65 yrs old with health problems was sitting on the ground and the officer hit him and then proceeded to use the butt of his gun and hit him in the back of the head, and broke his eye glasses. The officer told him after this man asked him why he was doing that, that he could kill him and stuff him in a trunk and no one would ever find him. They have also added unfounded charges when it should have only been a trespassing charge. What can we do? We have never experienced something this bad. We need Help.

Thank you

Speak with a good lawyer and sue the PA police dept.

I would think you can file a complaint with the states attorney's office.

NONE of this "story" is true.

Another question:
What authority, if any, does SU Police have over non-students and off campus?
I've seen a few interactions that I would feel are unjust.

8:58...don't break the laws and you don't have to worry about interactions with police. Pretty simple

65 is elderly?

When are you folks going to get it? The gov't has all the power because we the people voted in the politicians that appoint the liberal judges, and they run the police depts. that run us over with the blessing of the gov't. because that's who they work for.

Were you an actual witness or were you told this tale by the 65 year old elderly man? Either way this is probably not exactly what happened.

8:47 and 11:35 How do you know if it's true or not were you there? Were you the police officer that dragged and beat this "old" man? Get them to start naming names. I would like to see the names he says. They think no one will say anything, how would they like it if it was their father, brother or husband. I guess if you can get SS you might be considered elderly don't know. Police are not above the law like they think.

8:47 and 11:35 Must be police officers. They think they can do anything and get away with it!

First of all my elderly father would not be committing a burglary or theft as this man was at the time of this incident. The person who wrote this post forgot to add that little fact. This elderly man is now sitting in jail on a
$100,000 bond because this is not his first or second offense of burglary or theft. Also since that fact was left out of this post, I can ensure you that the rest of this post is incorrect as well. This is a case of someone was committing a crime and because he was caught in the act and did not comply, now they want to be the victim.

6:46 You must be the one that did all the crap! He who protest too much! I am so glad I don't live in Somerset any longer. You people will do anything to make yourself look good or right. The corrupt town is the reason I left. I feel sorry for this old man especially if he has to deal with you people. You have them all working together not caring what is true or not, Right or Wrong. How much did you make up? I'm sure you will lie again and say nothing. He needs to File a Complaint and He better bring in an out side lawyer!

As mentioned above the writer fails to mention the "elderly" man has an extensive criminal record and was caught in the act of committing burglary and theft inside the house. They are lucky a homeowner wasn't there or they may be writing an obituary instead of a bogus letter to the editor.

This not a case of police doing anything. It's a case of a property owner catching an individual in the act of stealing his property from one of his buildings.

The property owner is the one who caught him. The fact that he happens to be a police officer is irrelevant.

You would have to file charges against the property owner. Since he is the one who caught him. The police just came to arrest the burglar
