Former NAACP president Ben Jealous weighs run for Maryland governor

Former NAACP chief Benjamin Jealous is "actively weighing" a campaign to be Maryland's governor.

Jealous said Tuesday that he is in the early stages of contemplating a Democratic challenge to popular Republican Gov. Larry Hogan, and that he has been recruited since the summer to enter the 2018 election.

Republican President Donald J. Trump's election in November prompted Jealous to take the urging more seriously, he said, though he has yet to hire a staff.

"I love our state, and we are living through a historic moment that calls on each of us to ask what more we can do," Jealous said in an interview. "I would never do it unless there was a clear path" to victory.

Even though Governor Hogan is NOT aligned with President Trump, he's still better than pretty much any dumbocrat!

Next thing you will hear is that a Muslim will be running, since MD is a "sanctuary State" now. MD is getting to be more like California and Wisconson.

Ben Jealous may be past president of the NAACP but he is NOT black, African-American, negro or anything else except a white man with a grandfather who was 1/2 black.

Everyone says they wont vote for Hogan because he is a RINO. Please tell me how you expect to not have another democratic governor next election.
