4-year-old girl abandoned in Southern California desert by smugglers

A 4-year-old girl was located early Monday in the middle of “a vast desert” in Southern California after being abandoned by a group of smugglers.

NBC San Diego reported that the girl was with a group near the U.S.-Mexico border. When border agents moved in on the group, the smugglers jumped into a car and fled.

The child was left behind holding her birth certificate, which said she was from Guatemala. She was reportedly in good condition and was provided food.

“Who in their right mind abandons a four-year-old little girl in the middle of a vast desert,” one U.S. Customers and Border Protection agent said in a statement. “It sickens me to think that someone would leave a child that young to fend for herself.”

Well, if you're from Guatemala, you have heard that the U. S. Government looks out for everybody, free food and housing, child care and health care are freely given, and nobody starves to death here, so leaving a 4 yo with the authorities should be an act of kindness compared to what the smugglers could provide for her.

Stop baiting that hook, and those fish won't come here to bite on it!

9:07 you missed something. They are human smugglers, of course they are reprehensible!
And no they aren't out of their minds. Just greedy.
