One man is dead after a number of separate shootings and stabbings during a violent Monday night in Washington, D.C.
Four men were stabbed in separate incidents in Northwest, D.C., within one hour. Officers with the Metropolitan Police Department are investigating the various crimes, which do not appear to be connected. Police responded to a shooting at 11:45 p.m. in Brookland on Rhode Island Avenue in Northeast D.C., finding a man suffering from a gunshot wound lying on the sidewalk. The unidentified man later died at a local area hospital, reports The Washington Post.
Authorities closed off the road until 7:30 a.m. and said the victim lived in Southeast, D.C., but police have not released further details on the incident. Another shooting near Congress Heights at roughly 12:15 a.m. left a man with several non-life threatening injuries. The assailant fired into the victim’s car, hitting him several times.
A group of men attacked a man on a bicycle at 1:05 p.m. in Columbia Heights and stabbed him in the arm before he could escape. The men asked the victim if he was an MS-13 gang member, according to a police report. Three other stabbings occurred across the city but authorities have not released information on the incidents, reports NBC Washington.

This has to be a false report, owning guns in DC is almost impossible, and very few law-abiding citizens have carry permits. With the amount of gun laws in DC, it is the safest city in our nation.
