School Sends Girl Home Because of “Revealing” Outfit… Do You See the Problem?

After a Kentucky schoolgirl was sent home for wearing an allegedly “inappropriate” outfit, she posted a picture of the outfit to Reddit and discovered that the vast majority of sane Americans saw nothing wrong with it whatsoever.

According to the Woodford County High School girl, her principal told her that she had to cover up her collarbone because it was distracting to male students.

If you're going to be that nitpicky then you may as well just go with a uniform! I find her snug jeans far more inappropriate than her collarbone.

Wait. I have a collarbone fetish that distracts me and I am guaranteed an education. You must adjust to my individual needs, change your ways to accommodate my obvious disability.

Some religious zealot no doubt. Good job her ankles weren't showing!

well, she probably wasn't wearing it like that when she was in school away from her parents. that's the problem, maybe we need to "back" our educators and remember how we all were at that age....

...and it's okay if your arse is hanging out of your pants...and don't tell me they don't allow it b/c I see at our local schools!

Absurd.

pretty sure that's what happens when you put the extreme religious right into power. Take it up at the next elders meeting

Because she ocfended muslims.

The stigma created by the parents of a student should not have anything to do with how that student is treated in school. Some adults cannot separate the 2,but the actions of parents who wreaked havoc in the same school should have no bearing on anything or anyone subsequent to their actions.

She looks like Penny from Big Bang Theory.

She needs a hijab.

'distracting to males'
This is the reason muslim women are fully covered. How about making the MALE student accountable for their actions? There is nothing wrong with what this young lady is wearing. I think she looks quite nice.

It was distracting that sick piece of Sh*t Principle Garrentee

uh yea this has nothing to do with muslims. lets place the blame where it belongs here...christian fruit loops... end of story

Will they ban football and baseball players from wearing those tight pants?

If this is against the dress code then it's against the dress code. She shouldn't wear it. We all come up against rules we don't particularly like but as adults we realize they are in place for a reason.

She has on a button up sweater that is open. Her garment below may well be a thin strapped top. With the sweater off a lot more of her upper torso would be visible. If she had a T-shirt on with sleeves she probably would have left the sweater at home.

Many of the girls dress provocatively on purpose. Boys with pants at half-mast are equally distasteful.

Uniforms would be cheaper to buy and would end the issue but the administrators would need a Chuck Norris infusion to address the problem.

So boxers hanging out with skid marks are OK. But a cute white girl dressed to complement herself in a some what professional manner isn't.

Scarf to cover chest... The Middle East is infiltrating every part of our country

I'm for some type of uniform for everyone in public schools.. Girls never dressed like this when i went to high school, and it would've caused quite a distraction.

It's pretty obvious that this girl wants to show off her shape. Even though it's not a lot of skin, the outfit is skin tight showing every curve.

I couldn't agree more, they should force this girl to have a breast reduction and wear a Burka!

She needs to follow the rules-period end of story! If no collar bone is to show then cover it up. It's that simple. Life is full of things we can do and can't do and her defying this is not a good sign. If she keeps it up she is not going to amount to anything.
If she doesn't like the rules then she (or her parents) need to run for office and change the rules.

Not sure how many years have passed since you went to high school but I'm in my 50's and plenty of girls dressed like this and worse when I was in high school.

As a boy at that age I was only distracted while awake.

News flash - females have curves. OMG Better cover them up. BTW, she was not the only student reprimanded by the dress code nazis.

Yeah baby I just loves me some collarbone.
