He nailed it.

Well Mike said it so it must be true. Everything he was asked he stated "it is consistent with what I heard". How does a Sheriff who is asked to respond and assist another Police agency then become the spokesperson? So many of hiss responses began with "I". This event was not about mike but he sure turned it into the what I would have done show.

Nice try. Go hate on someone else. Hes done much more for this county than you ever will.

Wow, somebody gave Sheriff Lewis the finger. If he had not been running around city hall looking for interviews and been where the real danger was with the real cops he would have seen a whole lot worse than that. Just saying !!

Just want to be a big man finally. We know not statue but community wise. I think Mr.lewis expressed his racist views on fox news with the anger and grandstanding. A sworn representive of the state calling the President name on national TV and expressing racist views just show way the eastern shore is still so far behind

To be FAIR, Sheriff Lewis was ASKED a question, is it possible a prisoner could hurt themself in one of these vehicles.

As for the interview, he was extremely confident and to the point.

While I personally do not buy that this guy injured himself by crushing his voice box and destroying his spine, I think not.

Unfortunately the media is trying to sell a bill of goods, probably to create more tension so they can continue to report riots throughout America.

I think it's time our so called President get on board and call for a national curfew across America for the next 2 weeks.

I'll say this as well. While I do not always agree with Mike Lewis, one thing I can say in confidence, when the man said he will NOT stand down, he meant it and he is convincing enough that ANYONE who attempted to challenge him would have found themselves face down on the ground immediately and taken away in handcuffs. He's a true leader in that department and a great national law enforcement spokesperson for the national media.

Finally, I feel sorry for the Baltimore Police Officers who were forced to stand down while their brothers and sisters were under attack and getting injured.

he got on the camera I speculate by chance Tue night but on Wed he was seen as the tough sheriff something we need, This was a great boost for him politically and nationwide wow !! good job this is what we need a tough cop figure instead of the weak liberal types we have been getting

If you look at Tuesday's footage you will notice that Mike is in the background....doing the same thing as all the other LEO's, waiting for some asshat to do something dumb. You see Mike CLEARLY NOT looking for an interview. There were hundreds of media there, all of them looking to talk to someone. Better that a top-cop spoke up....he had much more to offer than anyone else.

Anyone that thinks he wont win re-election has bumped their head.

Mike was saying what many of us believe. The Baltimore police stood down. He STOOD UP for them by telling what he heard and saw. Their jobs would be in jeopardy to do so. Blame should go where it belongs, not on the police, but the leader(s) who made the stand down decision. I like knowing that Mike Lewis would not stand down to protesters here. Mob rule should never be tolerated when it threatens life, limb or property.

Joe you gotta be proud of your boy, maybe he can put in a word for you and get you on hannity

9:24, First of all, he's not my "boy". Secondly, Hannity ticked me off last night with his assumption that this man purposely injured himself and kept pushing it like it was truth.

Even some of the Fox Reporters kept stating, IF it were true. Hannity kept saying, well, it's been reported in the Washington Post, SO WHAT. Yeah, like we're supposed to believe ALL Liberal Newspapers or Media.

Now, think about this. The van the prisoner was in is an 18 passenger van with SEVERAL very tiny boxes in it. THERE'S NO ROOM in that van to go thrashing yourself around. It's complete BS in my personal opinion and once the layout of this van goes public, NO ONE is going to believe this crap.

Now, can a prisoner hurt himself, yes. To the level this guy was hurt, no way! Hannity only wants people on he can verbally abuse, control or agree with him.

Last night Hannity had Lewis and Clark on! Wow! Who would have known that they would make a comeback after all of these years!

I personally think that both of those Sheriff's would make for a great team.

There is so much more to this story. Mr. Gray was involved in a vehicle accident prior to this event and suffered a neck and back injury. He underwent surgery for those injuries and was supposed to be taking it easy. Not out running around, riding bikes, selling drugs, etc. Gray was receiving structured payments as a result of this accident and on April 2, 2015 settled a civil arrangement with Peachtree Lending where he was to receive a lump sum payment instead of the monthly installments. Go to MD Case Search (Howard County - Civil Case). Unfortunately, police can not reveal this information because of HIPA regulations. As I said there is much more to this story. People need to stop jumping to conclusion without knowing the ALL the facts.

YOU are the one jumping to conclusions AND repeating rumors. where do all these johnny come latelys come from? read up before you come here and repeat what has already been disproven. geesh

Anonymous said...

Well 1:17 can you say conclusively it's been disproven? The only thing that may or may not be disproven is that the settlement was for lead paint. If you do your research and look up Gloria Darden (Mother) on judiciary you will see that she and the children did sue a taxi company.
What confuses the issue even more is that Freddie when he filled out his court papers checked the box that said his injuries were either work related, med malpractice or auto injury.
Then a family lawyer comes on and says "at this time" he had no knowledge of a previous neck surgery.
He didn't deny it emphatically or otherwise. He said he has no knowledge "at that time."

That van does not have several very tiny boxes in it.
It has a barrier down the middle separating the left side bench from the right side bench. More than enough room for someone to fling themselves around.

Breaking News-the Medical Examiner found that Gray’s “catastrophic injury” happened when he slammed into the back of the van and that “a head injury he sustained matches a bolt in the back of the van.

You must be blind. Pictures of the van and a diagram of the layout have been made public. It's NOTHING like you describe-NOTHING.

I can say this, the police are lying, they have been caught with their pants down and admitted as much, ME says the injury was akin to being in a high speed car crash and I doubt Gray or anyone else can cause that much damage anywhere, much less in half a van while being handcuffed and in leg irons.

Now they magically discover another stop the police van made that SOMEHOW wasn't known before. And the van driver is the one who hasn't made a statement yet. You and others are allowing yourselves to be distracted with all this lawsuits, car accidents irrelevancey.

He ran. big deal. they found a knife on him. big deal. he has an arrest record. big deal.

The REALLY big deal is he is dead. They refused him medical care when he requested it, MULTIPLE times. They violated their own policies AGAIN by not putting him in a seat belt.

One of the suspended cops is a lt. with a proven history of abuse. There is case after case of brutality claims and settlements.

What else could you possibly need?
