Under the current law that went into effect in 2013, every year Maryland will automatically increase its gas tax without any input from citizens or any measure of accountability from our representatives in Annapolis.
Since the act's implementation, Maryland's gas tax has increased from 23.5 cents a gallon to 30.3 cents, according to the state Comptroller's Office. Read More Here
As promised, Gov. Larry Hogan is supporting legislation to repeal this unfair and automatic tax increase.
But the governor can't do this on his own - he needs our help to let lawmakers in Annapolis know that the automatic gas tax increases are wrong for struggling Maryland families.
