7-Eleven offering 9 Maryland locations for no franchising fee

Convenience store giant 7-Eleven is offering franchise agreements for 200 stores across the country without standard franchising costs. Across Maryland, the offer applies to nine stores that are currently corporate owned.

The Zero Franchising Fee Initiative could save franchisees around $80,000 in fees.

"These locations offer would-be entrepreneurs a chance to go into business for themselves without the expense of the one-time franchise fee," said Greg Franks, vice president of franchising systems. "With the Zero Franchise Fee Initiative, we opted to waive the fee on these specific stores to allow the new owner a chance to build his or her customer base and business, while backed by our proprietary systems, processes and ongoing support."

Not worth it even if its free. I know a 7-11 franchise owner that gave back 3 of his stores.
7-11 does not support their franchisees.

Was going to put a 7-11 on one of my properties but me and my family would have to run it to survive. That is why only foreigners who are willing to work there 24/7 can make it.
