Incident: Vandalism

Date of Incident: 7 July 2014

Location: 900 block of Booth Street, Salisbury, MD

Suspect: Cory Labrayn Walker, 25, Salisbury, MD

Narrative: On 7 July 2014 at 4:30 PM a deputy responded to the report of an altercation between a female subject and Cory Walker, who was described as an ex-boyfriend. According to the female, Walker confronted the female with a threatening tone while she sat in her vehicle. She stated that Walker ripped her passenger side windshield wiper from her car as she attempted to drive away.

The investigating deputy located Walker walking along the street two blocks away and took him into custody for the vandalism and an outstanding arrest warrant in a CDS Possession case.

Following an initial appearance in front of a District Court Commissioner, Walker was detained on a bond of $10,000.00 for the vandalism and a bond of $50,000.00 for the CDS Possession warrant.

Incident: Theft

Date of Incident: 7 July 2014

Location: 1500 block of S. Salisbury Blvd., Salisbury, MD

Suspect: Joseph Keith Ireland, 24, Salisbury, MD

Narrative: On 7 July 2014 at 6:58 AM a deputy responded to the Temple Hill Motel for the report of a subject who had just stolen something from a guest in one of the rooms. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from the victim that she had caught a subject who had stayed in her room overnight, Joseph Ireland, in possession of her purse when she exited the bathroom. According to the victim, Ireland pushed her down as he left the room.

The victim discovered cash and a prescribed medication, suboxone, missing from her purse.

The deputy located Ireland walking on S. Salisbury Boulevard north of Bateman Street and subsequently discovered him in possession of suboxone that matched what the victim stated was stolen. The deputy placed Ireland under arrest and transported him to the Central Booking Unit where he was processed and taken in front of the District Court Commissioner. After an initial appearance, the Commissioner released Ireland on $10,000.00 unsecured bond.

Date of Incident: 6 July 2014

Location: 100 block of Spring Grove Road, Mardela Springs, MD

Narrative: On 6 July 2014 at 2:19 PM a deputy responded to a reported altercation at a residence in the 100 block of Spring Grove Road in Mardela Springs, MD. Upon arrival, the deputy discovered that the altercation had escalated to a physical confrontation between the residents, Henry Appleby and Brandy Ennis, with both exhibiting signs of physical injury from an assault. During the investigation each party accused the other of an assault which caused the deputy to place both under arrest.

Following their initial appearance in front of the District Court Commissioner, Ennis was detained on a bond of $3,000.00 while Appleby was released on Personal Recognizance.

Incident: Disorderly Conduct

Date of Incident: 5 July 2014

Location: 6000 block of Zion Road, Salisbury, MD

Suspect: Nina Renee Schaffer, 29, Salisbury, MD

Narrative: On 5 July 2014 at 12:24 AM a deputy responded to a residence in the 6000 block of Zion Road and met with Nina Schaffer in reference to an incident that happened on their property. Upon arrival, the deputy discovered that the problem had been solved and that Schaffer was no longer in need of assistance from the Sheriff’s Office. Schaffer became belligerent towards the deputy, demanding he leave her property.

After the departure of the deputy, Schaffer began making repeated calls to the Sheriff’s Office via 911, each time being belligerent and using profanity towards the Sheriff’s Office personnel on the other end. Despite repeated warnings to cease her unnecessary calls, Schaffer did not, at one point even demanding to be taken to the county jail, which caused the deputy to return and place her under arrest.

Upon arrest, Schaffer continued to be belligerent and uncooperative, at times attempting to free herself from the deputy’s patrol vehicle while opening the door. Following an initial appearance in front of the District Court Commissioner, Schaffer was released on $10,000.00 unsecured bond.

Incident: Traffic Related Incident

Date of Incident: 5 July 2014

Location: Bridge Street, Mardela Springs, MD

Suspect: Male Juvenile, 15, Mardela Springs, MD
                                 
Narrative: On 5 July 2014 at 6:16 PM a deputy responded to the town of Mardela Springs following two calls to the Sheriff’s Office about a male subject operating a dirt bike through town. While patrolling town looking for this subject, the deputy encountered him on Bridge Street. Upon stopping the operator, the deputy identified him as a 15 year old juvenile that lived in town.

The deputy charged the juvenile with operating an unregistered and uninsured vehicle without an operator’s license. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending formal court action.

The deputy also impounded to the dirt bike after an owner was unable to be located.

That 15 year old kid is trash. Rides up n down riverton rd casing places out to rob. Kid is luck he didn't get shot by my neighbor for stealing.

Heroin makes people do bad things, and there's plenty for everybody here.
It's because our troops have been in Afghanistan for 14 years and we never trade arms for drugs and opium production id at record levels now, but it never makes it here.
