Newspaper Chain Plans 'State-By-State' Concealed Weapon Databases

A national newspaper chain with nearly 100 publications and 1.6 million readers is considering building “state-by-state databases” on concealed weapons permit holders, according to an internal e-mail.

The plan, laid out in an email from a top editor at North Carolina-based Civitas Media, could be similar to a controversial project a New York state newspaper carried out in 2012 which included an online map that identified gun owners in two counties by name and address. Civitas' database project was detailed in a Jan. 19 e-mail to newsrooms across the chain, which has papers in 11 states, including Ohio, Illinois and Pennsylvania.

I hope they get sued into bankruptcy! I think we should make a list and maps of all the liberals that don't own guns and distribute it to all prisoners scheduled for early release.

What on earth purpose would this serve? I'm with 845, and the idiot who dreamed this up should be first on the list!

Maybe a top editor in North Carolina will have a gun accidently discharge on him one day. I also think that the public should know who doesn't own weapons so you can break into their homes and violate them. Start building them data bases for the democrats who don't own guns.

"they" need this

it's important to demonize law abiding citizens

make everyone a law breaker and their plan succeeds

why do you people think they keep writing so many thousands of new laws?

do you ever see them rescinding any?

in twenty years, you won't be able to walk outside without committing some sort of crime

it's all by design

makes it easier for the gestapo to come and confiscate everything you own

i wish i was joking

Put my name on that list. Then, try to come and take them. YOU will make a list of your own.
You know what I'm saying, don't ya?

Hope this gets wide attention and their readers and remaining advertisers vote with their wallets.
