Cancer Patient's Bills Soar Due To A Flaw In Obamacare

WASHINGTON (AP) — Coping with advanced cancer, Bev Veals was in the hospital for chemo this summer when she got a call that her health plan was shutting down. Then, the substitute insurance she was offered wanted her to pay up to $3,125, on top of premiums.
It sounds like one of those insurance horror stories President Barack Obama told to sell his health overhaul to Congress, but Veals wasn't in the clutches of a profit-driven company. Instead, she's covered by Obama's law — one of about 100,000 people with serious medical issues in a financially troubled government program.

Cancer survivors are finding out that some pre screening cancer tests they are advised to have are now not being covered. Under obamacare "risk is too small" they are being told.
Happened to someone I know. They were told this "bad news" after hearing the "good news" that they no longer have to pay a co-pay.

the problem is, it is not a flaw, obamacare is intended to bankrupt us all so that we are 100% dependent on the government for everything.

2:44--BINGO!!!! The goal is single-payer health care just like the national Health Service in the UK. Rationing and misery are the hallmarks of socialised medicine. Congrats Liberal Democrats--you are sooooooooo superior to the rest of us.

Breast cancer screenings (mammograms) too are being limited under obamacare. Most all cancer screenings now won't be covered unless you are over 50, will not be so frequent and will end by age 74 from what I've heard from several people now who have experienced the new guidelines.
If you are healthy that may not be a problem but those with risk factors it may be. Medicare will not pay either.
This is all being dictated by the US Preventative Services Task Force convened by the US Dept of Health and Human Services.
