Sheriff's letter to NAACP

This is the letter from Sheriff Mike Scott of Lee County, FL to the local head of the NAACP. It is a masterpiece of reasoned common sense and articulate diplomacy.

It would be hard to add (or delete) even one word to this masterpiece of communication that would make it any better. It is stated absolutely perfectly.

Excellent! The NAACP has always been an anti-white group. It does nothing to "advance colored people".

The sheriff's is right and is a stand up man for having and sticking to his morals and principles. He is correct in saying the NAACP and other such groups pick and choose what issue to rally around. It's sickening and so disturbing the way they value only a life when it suits them.
This is why they have such crime problems within their race. They don't value life.
I remember last year when little Jamal Woolford shot and killed himself with a gun and I was very vocal on here that no one was stepping up for this innocent little boy. Not even a candlelight vigil or anything. Shameful on the part of local black so called "leaders."
Oh but Trayvon Martin and some where falling over each other with an 'opinion' and even felt compelled to hold a rally in Salisbury. They are shameful and got it shoved right back at them because hardly anyone showed up!

The very existence of the NAACP is an admission of inferiority as well as blatantly racist.

9:05 I would say the existence was needed with the oppression that just ended about 40 years ago. There were still segregated schools in the early 70's. The NAACP is in the same class with most unions now. They served a duly needed purpose, but may be a bit antiquated, politicized, and self serving in this day and age. With the attacks on every American citizens constitutional rights. We need a National Association for the Advancement of All People. If the the banking cartels, corporations, and military industrial complex have there way.....We will all be slaves. Simple fodder to the super elite who manipulate our daily lives in media, education, and our economy.

Anon 9:05, thank you. I agree. The name alone is "politically incorrect". Colored people?? OMG, a white person would be up on charges for some hate crime.
Sheriff Scott, EXCELLENT letter. Thank you for your service & bravery.

As a Black women at the age of 56, I'm sick to death with the NAACP. In the 50's and 60's, this organization did what they had to do for the rights colored people. However and after that era, they must have went to sleep. Where was the NAACP when young black men and women thought, being a part of a gang was best for them? Where was the NAACP when young black men began to kill one another? Where was the NAACP when young black women and girls began to have children out of wedlock? Where was the NAACP when gun, drugs poverty and death became a tradition in the black communities? Where was the NAACP when unemployment, snap, welfare and other government subsidies became a norm in the black community? Where was the NAACP when DWB, racial profiling, stand your ground law, frisk, search and seizure became so prevalent in the black community? Where was the NAACP when the criminal justice system was spending so much time locking up more blacks men in this country then any other group in America. And, why are we still fighting for our rights to become register voters. I guess the answer to all of these question is, the issues mentioned above is not cost effective nor does it place this organization in front of the camera enough. Black Americans need to stop reaching out to an organization that have done absolutely nothing for the black community in over 40 years. We need to stop the madness and be proud of our race. We need to heal, help and take care of ourselves. We need to tell NAACP go away because we do not need them. They have "No Answer for the Assassination of Christian People", period. Ask yourself this, what have the NAACP done for you lately.

Good points, except for the comment about registering to vote...there are no guards posted to keep people from registering to vote--in fact, it is easier to vote than to rent a beach umbrella! You have to have a photo ID to rent an umbrella on the beach in Ocean City, yet hoards of people illegally vote, or repeatedly vote, and if anybody dares try to preserve our sacred right to vote by (gasp) asking for an ID to prove you are a citizen, then they scream racism. People can register to vote online, by mail, at Motor Vehicle Administration, and can always get a civic group to TAKE them to register.
