Ocean City Police Chief Ross Buzzuro Swearing In Tonight At 6 PM

The swearing in of the new Ocean City Police Chief, (Ross Buzzuro) will in fact go on as scheduled tonight at City Hall at 6 PM.

I can tell you as an update to yesterday's unfortunate plane crash that weather conditions in the ocean this morning are horrific. The current is extremely traitorous and considering the plane crashed in more shallow waters it is making it very difficult, (almost impossible) to make a recovery.

Please keep the Officers and their Families in your thoughts and prayers. I can assure you we will give you updates just as soon as they are available and please respect the OCPD by limiting your phone calls to emergency calls at this time.

The weather is fitting of everyone's mood.

Reminds me of something that psychic lady on the boardwalk used to tell me when I worked up there years ago.
She would say there's a reason for the weather today and everyone needs to find and heed the warning the reason is trying to tell you. The reason I see is that the rescue workers are exhausted and need a day to rest, regroup and refocus with a refreshed mind.

My cousin from PA just called and told me some station up there WGAL has video of the plane hitting the water on their website!
I am going to put this mildly and say this is extremely tacky on the part of that station. The video should have been turned over to local OC authorities and it left up to them if it was publically release.
This is very irresponsible "journalism" on the part of this station.

They go with what's legal, not with what is responsible.Everything is arguable, but that falls under public domain. Is it the decent thing to do? Heck no,it's offensive as all get out,but still witin the constraints of the law.

That was great to hear the Mayor call the new chief "Chuck" when his name is Ross. Guess he was fantasizing about Chuck DiPino.
