Secession

Hi!

I just signed the petition "Governor Martin O'Malley:

SECESSION from the State of Maryland" on Change.org. It's important. Will you sign it too? Here's the link:

Sounds good but in reality is wishful thinking. We have no industry left to support ourselves. democrats saw to it that it was all run out. It's was part of the plan-making us non self sufficient. Stoltzfus tried to prevent this and now McDermott while the rest of our spineless wonder democrat reps sat around and let the rest of the state take us over.

Joe just got this email from the Chamber. This is more proof that the Chamber and Ernie Colburn is in bed with Jim Ireton.

"Doing Business in Salisbury"
Press Conference

Dear Chamber Members,

Mayor Jim Ireton of Salisbury has announced a press conference on "Doing Business In Salisbury".

The chamber's take on this press conference is that it will be about a new and inspired effort to attract and revitalize business for downtown and surrounding areas of the City of Salisbury.

The press conference will be 1:30pm, Tuesday, April 9th at the Salisbury Area Chamber of Commerce Business Center, 144 E. Main Street here in Salisbury.

The chamber is asking as many businesses/owners/operators to attend as possible, so please mark your calendar.

We look forward to a large turnout.

Regards,

Ernie Colburn
SACC Interim Executive Director

Just one more reason for not to rejoin the Chamber of Commerce. I belonged to it when I first opened by business and saw very little return for my money. NOW, with Ireton back in as Mayor and Ernie Colburn as the director, no way would I waste a dime of my business hard earned money to give to the Chamber.

bottom line is the dems will never reduce taxes and regs to make us business friendly. spinning wheels for nothing...

Jim Ireton announcing his "plans" to the special interests (they know what it's about, stop pretending, Ernie)before he tells the council or general public.

Iteron has played this game for 4 years. I no longer pay attention.

Instead of telling people about "plans," why doesn't he work with the council (oh, right, only the ones he wants to) and tell us what he has DONE?

Secession doesn't necessarily require us to become our own state. The Governors of Delaware and Virginia would be happy to have this stretch of land. Annexation into Virginia preferably would be good for all of us.

DE and VA not so great either 7:36.
DE facing 50 some million defit. They nickel and dime people to death in other ways to=school tax, ditch tax, library tax.
VA same thing-yearly vehicle inspections, personal property tax on cars, higher tax on alcohol.

Most of the voters in this state are across the bay and the politicians there will never allow MD to lose OC taxes.

The ideal situation would be a state called Delmarva-a combination of Wor, Wic and Som in MD-Accomack in VA and Sussex in DE.
