Iraq War Vet Charged In Fatal Shooting Of Ex-SEAL

STEPHENVILLE, Texas (AP) - An Iraq War veteran charged with murdering former Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle and a friend turned a gun on the pair while they were at a Texas shooting range, authorities said Sunday.

Eddie Ray Routh, of Lancaster, was arraigned early Sunday in the deaths of Kyle, who wrote the best-selling book "American Sniper," and Chad Littlefield, 35. They were killed at a shooting range at Rough Creek Lodge, about 50 miles southwest of Fort Worth.

Travis Cox, the director of a nonprofit Kyle helped found, told The Associated Press on Sunday that Kyle, 38, and Littlefield had taken Routh to the range to try to help him. Littlefield was Kyle's neighbor and "workout buddy," Cox said.

The big drug comapies are quick to make warnings of suicide as a possible side affect. When will the drug companies come to the truthful conclusion that possible Homicide is also a side affect?

According to an article I just read, he was driving Chris Kyle's truck after the shootings and told his sister he killed Kyle for the truck. There's no mention of any Muslim affiliation.

What's obvious to me is that mental illness and guns are not a good combination.

Did you not read that the guy has been a basket case since he left the service? Kyle and his murdered friend thought that shooting would be therapeutic for his PTSD. Taking a page from the late Mrs. Lanza's book, I guess.

Mrs lanza is PART responsible for all those childrens Deaths because she had a son with KNOWN mental issues and failed to lock here weapons up SHE failed as a MOTHER.

Mrs Lanza should be in jail for allowing access to firearm to a mentally ill person. Lock the guns away from the crazies or go to jail. Its negligence. It's a crime.
