Prescription Drugs A Gateway To Heroin

Prescription painkillers may seem a world away from heroin, but experts say that moving between the two is actually quite common.

Prescription drug abuse took off more than a decade ago, partly because the medication came in exact dosages and lacked the stigma of more illicit drugs, according to Theodore Cicero, a psychiatry professor at Washington University in St. Louis.

OMG that's what they said about pot too and that proved false.

What is the fixation of authorities on heroin?

This will make one use heroin. That will make one use heroin.

A person's DECISION will make him/her use heroin. Period.

How about this: a bic lighter will make one melt down the heroin and shoot it.

Does that make sense either?

Prescription drug overdoses kill more people than any drug. Think about that before you listen to the lunatic in the white jacket.

I'll take green over pills any day of the week. You get crazy hooked on pills. It absolutely is a gateway drug. You need more and more pills to make them work, then you move on to stronger pills.

Green is always green and has never made me want coke/heron/pills/whatever. Legalize it

Well then, if we're going to use the same rationale as we do for pot, then obviously we MUST BAN ALL MEDICINE! It's the only way to save face!
