“From National Guard members assisting residents in Garrett County to residents displaced from their homes on the Eastern Shore, everyone should have the opportunity to cast their vote,” said Governor O’Malley.
The Executive Order (1) allows election officials to accept absentee ballot applications that are received by mail today and (2) permits voters who are out of their county of residence due to Hurricane Sandy (e.g., National Guard members, utility workers, first responders, voters who sought temporary shelter, etc.) to make a late application for an absentee ballot.

Correct me if I'am wrong. Were not absentee ballots due by Oct,31. Thats due in, not to be distributed.
You have to understand, our present governor is , as a liberal, mentally challenged, therefore can't understand deadlines and rules.
The *applications* for absentee ballots were due by October 31, not the actual ballots.
I'm sure the deceased in the caskets that floated up during Sandy are glad to hear they have more time
