Dinner With 40 Of Our New Best Friends

Joe,

After mucking out our house in Marion, we went to Ruby Tuesdays in Pocomoke for
some dinner. Just as we were seated, the next party of 40 came in. They were
from Alabama. They all drove their trucks and equipment here to help Delmarva
Power get us reconnected. It tok them 2 days to get here. What a wonderful
bunch of guys. Most of the folks in the restaurant, chatted with them, and
thanked them profusely, for coming and helping us! They were very friendly, and
very humble, just part of their jobs! I am sure they all volunteered for the
assignment. They worked under very difficult conditions, in unfamiliar
surroundings! -- Just a shout out to them for helping us!!

Without these folks we would all suffer much. Thanks to ALL the workers nationwide who bring back the power for us whenever we need them.

God Bless these unsung heros.

This crew from Alabama?

Unfortunately for residents of the Garden State, an Alabama utility crew from Huntsville Utilities was banned from doing work in the state, due to being non-union.

According to Alabama’s WAFF, some of the crews were later welcomed to do work in New York.

WAFF also reports that a second utility crew, originally requested to do work in Seaside Heights, New Jersey is now sitting idle in Roanoke, Virginia:
“say they are just watching and waiting even though they originally received a call asking for help..”
