Troopers Investigate Rehoboth Beach Exxon Robbery

Exxon Gas Station, 18904 Coastal Highway, Rehoboth Beach, DE

Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 6:30 a.m.

Victim:
35 year old female employee

Suspect:
White male, blonde hair with glasses. Last seen wearing gray hooded sweatshirt and khaki shorts (no further physical or clothing description available). Suspect was armed with a small “crowbar” type object.

Resume:
Rehoboth Beach-Troopers are investigating the attempted robbery of an Exxon gas station that occurred in Rehoboth Beach, yesterday morning.

The incident occurred on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at approximately 6:30 a.m. as a male suspect entered the Exxon gas station and confronted the 35 year old female employee. The suspect displayed a small “crowbar” type object and demanded money, attempting to force his way behind the sales counter where the cash register is located. The victim did not comply and pushed the suspect and forced him out of the business. The suspect fled on foot empty handed towards Truitts Avenue. There were no injuries as a result of this incident.
