A Peters police officer interrupted a groom and his best man as they tried to kick off a "memorable" wedding night last weekend.
The officer spotted groom Michael Mitchko and best man Ian Hopkins,
both 27, as they drove a golf cart in the 4100 block of Washington Road
just before midnight on Saturday, Peters police Chief Harry Fruecht said
Wednesday.
The two told police they took the golf cart from the Rolling Hills
Country Club, where they celebrated the wedding, and wanted to drive it
to the hotel.
