JCPenney Giving Up On The Whole "No More Sales" Thing

Remember in January when JCPenney had that revolutionary idea — touted in a series of not at all grating ads — of getting rid of "sales," and just lowering everyday prices by around 40%? Apparently, the shoppers of the world didn't get the message and JCP is bringing back the "S word."

The CEO also stated that "ladies just love their coupons"! However he will not allow them. Good God man, if they want coupons GIVE THEM COUPONS!!!

Well, the new guy is struggling to get traction. But I think he will. He helped build Target into the giant it is, and he did the same with the Apple store. Give him a few years, he'll find the right niche to exploit.

The whole idea of sales is to get the store's name in the sales marketing section. Just getting the name out there is almost as important as the sale price. Wonder how much they paid marketing idiots to come up with that no sale plan? Even if they were cheaper, how were people to know?
