One Maryland Town Makes Happiest Seaside Towns List

The view is gorgeous and the seafood excellent, so it's no wonder that Solomons Island gets the nod as one of the Happiest Seaside Towns in America.

Solomons Island is where the Patuxent River meets Chesapeake Bay.

It's No. 15 on Coastal Living's rankings. The magazine's rankings came from Facebook combined with the

Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index, which looks at everything from sunny days to commute times.
Topping the list is Kiawah Island, S.C., followed by Naples, Fla.

I've been living in DC the past 6-7 years since moving from the Shore. Found Solomons island, and I love it. Great fishing, gorgeous views, and quite a bit of open space. Love the drive down Route 4, great countryside drive.
