Payment From Class Action Case Arrives Without Warning & Looks Like Junk Mail

There are 10 million of you out there who might have checks coming to you as part of a class action lawsuit settlement, but unless you keep a very close eye on your mail, you might end up tossing it with your junk mail.

Yup, exactly right. Our family members got 2 of those checks the other day, each for $ 18.04 and yes, they looked like junk mail! The mailing is smaller than most check sizes and looks more like a rebate check or a lot of 1099 mailings. The 10 million "customers" are VISA card holders who may have had a transaction involving foreign currency (i.e. like a Carribean cruise) anytime during a period of 4-9 years ago.

I too received a check for $18.04 about a week ago. It sure did look like junk mail, and even after I had the check in my hand I wasn't sure if it was legit. I got online, however, and learned that it was. Sure, I'll take an extra 18 bucks ;)

Still waiting for our $50.00 gift card from Lowe's stemming from overcharges. It's been about 6 months. Guess we were right in thinking we'd never see it.
