BLAST AWAY!!!!

While foreign politicians at the United Nations debate the merits of allowing American citizens to own firearms, yet another example of the absolute necessity of the right to bear arms in a free society emerges from Oklahoma, where an 18 year old mom and widow who lost her husband on Christmas Day was at home with her young son on New Year’s eve.

McKinley told ABC News Oklahoma City affiliate KOCO that she quickly got her 12 gauge, went into her bedroom and got a pistol, put the bottle in the baby’s mouth and called 911.

“I’ve got two guns in my hand — is it okay to shoot him if he comes in this door?” the young mother asked the 911 dispatcher. “I’m here by myself with my infant baby, can I please get a dispatcher out here immediately?”

The 911 dispatcher confirmed with McKinley that the doors to her home were locked as she asked again if it was okay to shoot the intruder if he were to come through her door.

“I can’t tell you that you can do that but you do what you have to do to protect your baby,” the dispatcher told her. McKinley was on the phone with 911 for a total of 21 minutes.

When Martin kicked in the door and came after her with the knife, the teen mom shot and killed the 24-year-old. Police are calling the shooting justified.

This woman should be awarded a medal, in fact, she should get a brand new free house from those house make over guys!
If more folks did this, crime would really be down in Salisbury!

Maryland should allow this. Unfortunately, with him with a knife and her with two guns, Maryland would probably like to see her drop her guns at that point and go get a kitchen knife. wow.

God bless you.

Absolutely justified. Anyone who would question this deserves to be in the same position -- without the guns.

Such presence of mind, this young mother had.

She's got my vote. I would have done the same thing, but called 911 after it was over.

She did the right thing. The government has no business in self defense or the right to keep and bare arms. The constitution listed them in the bill of rights so that they would not infringe upon them. Each incident that supports the right of self defense is brushed under the carpet by the liberals. If it was up to them this story would have never seen the light of day.

5:39 - Maryland DOES allow it. Gov. O'Malley signed the "castle doctrine" into law during the 2010 session. You can now shoot an intruder you believe means you harm in your own house in Maryland.

Maryland does have a castle law which gives a homeowner the right to defend himself or his property with deadly force. We are one of the few states that still have this law in place. If you are a gun owner, yes you have the right to bear arms, but with that right comes responsibility such as knowing how to safely store and use your firearm. You must know the laws governing the use of your firearm. Classes are provided all over our state and are a great investment. Get educated and be prepared.

Sorry, but I had my gun confiscated for over a year because I showed it to a rapist doing my 15 to daughter. Castle Doctrine or not, Maryland sucks.

The idiot brought a knife to a gunfight.

Democrats want to take her gun away.

No Obama and Hillary CLinton want to confiscate our weapons.

Get more target practice b/c you may need to use your weapon sooner than u may think.
