A growing number of Americans think children born in the United States to illegal immigrants should not be entitled to automatic citizenship, according to a new Rasmussen Reports poll.
The Rasmussen Reports telephone survey found that 61 percent of likely voters say these children, sometimes called “anchor babies,” should not have automatic American citizenship, a right guaranteed by the 14th Amendment.
The response was the highest level of support for changing the law found in five years of polls by Rasmussen Reports.More

I guess 61% of people don't respect the Constitution.
The 14th Amendment needs to be AMENDED to state "as long as one of the parents IS a US Citizen".
Back when this was done, I'm sure they were not anticipating the abuse of the system we are now experiencing!

USA is one of the last, if not the last country to have birthright citizenship. Most other countries have stopped it.
Well now it doesn't matter what we little Americans think about the issue. I'm pretty sure the elites like the idea of anchor babies and extremely low wage earners going on into the future of our Country.

We need to respect the Constitution above all else. The Constitution was written by the founders, Washington, Moses, Reagan, Jefferson, etc. These guys had it right because these guysutio spoke English, abhorred slavery, belived in trickle down economics, and fought against socialism (obama). Let us remember how the Constitution begins, "Four Score and Seven years ago God So loved the world he gave us his only son." Come on people, more lets stick to that, not the Sharia law that Joe Biden thinks will work. We are a bunch of Barney Franks and Nancy Smellosis, you know what I mean?

I am tired of my hard tax paying money being used by the parents of the anchor babies through welfare and other free like government programs until these babies are 18Afterward, they go to school free due to the dream stupid act.

O Man, you do not understand that I work from Sun-up to Sun Down; no breaks for Cigs or Lunch, and I do a great job. You have a culture in your Country that will not work even when you pay for their School before they get out of Jail. We work hard but do not know how to obtain proper status with the Government. Can you tell us how?
