The additional 1,400 Marine combat forces could start arriving in Afghanistan as early as mid-January, and would mostly be deployed in the south, around Kandahar.

Al Sadr in Iraq is responsible for so many American deaths yet now he is welcomed back to be part of the Iraq goverment. Why do these fallen solders lives mean so little? He shouldnt be invited back anywhere, he should be executed.

We are fighting in Afghanistan in a "hands-tied" half assed manner. For what? We basically strip-search old ladies and kids at the airport as we look for "terrorists". We violate every single Constitutional protection Americans have died for in order to find "terrorists". I'm sick of seeing dead soldiers being flown back to this country. We are accomplishing NOTHING in that prehistoric and primitive country that doesn't even appreciate our presence. The ONLY thing we are doing is making the military-industrial complex (like Haliburton) that Eisenhower warned the public about 50 years ago RICH. None of THEIR kids are fighting over there, just OUR sons and daughters, while these rich war-hawks buy another vacation home in Hawaii and send THEIR sons and daughters to Stanford and Harvard. We don't have to search old ladies to find "terrorists". We KNOW where they're at -- our leaders just aren't THAT interested in killing them.

Invite them to dinner? Besides, your beef should be with George Bush, Sadr did not invite us, George sent us. Thats the way life works...
