Felton- The Delaware State Police have arrested a 19 year old Felton, DE man after he threatened his girlfriend and mother with a gun early this morning.

Troopers arrested Samuel E. Roth, 19, after they were called to a residence in the unit block of E. Chimney Top Lane in Felton at approximately 8:45 a.m. for the report of a domestic incident involving a gun. Troopers learned that Roth had been involved in an argument with his girlfriend, a 16 year old Harrington, DE girl. During the argument, Roth displayed a handgun and threatened both the 16 year old female and his 53 year old mother who also resides in the house. As the mother attempted to use the phone to call police, Roth took the phone from her. He then pointed the gun at both victims and threatened to kill them. Roth then forced the 16 year old girl to get in his car which was parked in the driveway of the home. As Roth and the 16 year old were sitting in the car, his mother asked a neighbor who was walking by the home to call the police.  A short time later, Troopers arrived and took Roth into custody. Neither victim was injured. A subsequent search of Samuel Roth’s room revealed two digital scales used to weigh drugs and other assorted drug paraphernalia. Troopers also located 2.4 grams of marijuana, 5 doses of Adderal, and $1498.00 in suspected drug sale proceeds.

Samuel Roth was arrested and charged with the above list of crimes. He was arraigned at JP Court 7 and committed to the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center for lack of $6000.00 secured and $10,000.00 cash bail.
