Detectives Probe Robbery At Casino

Location:  Delaware Park Casino, 777 Delaware Park Boulevard, Wilmington, DE

 

Date of Occurrence:  Wednesday, January 19, 2010 at 8:00 p.m.

 

Victim:  38 year old Cockeysville, Maryland man

 

Suspects:

 

Suspect #1: Black male, 5’09”-6’00” tall, 170-200 lbs, with a dark complexion and average build. He was last seen wearing a dark blue coat, dark pants, and a dark colored ski cap. He was also armed with a silver handgun.

 

Suspect #2: Black male, 230-240 lbs, with a light complexion and clean shaven. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt.

Stanton- The Delaware State Police are currently investigating the robbery of a Delaware Park Casino patron that occurred yesterday evening.

 

The incident occurred at approximately 8:00 p.m. as a 38 year old Maryland man was approached by a male suspect in the parking lot of the casino. The suspect, who was armed with a silver handgun, ordered the victim to walk with him and then forced him into a pickup truck that was parked in the lot and which was being driven by a second male suspect. The suspects then demanded the victim’s money and other personal items while driving him to a parking lot located a short distance away on Twin C Lane, Newark. The victim was then released. He then responded back to the casino and contacted police. The victim was not injured. The suspects fled from the area in an unknown direction.
