I am not a gun nut at all, but I recently bought my wife a shotgun and for myself a semi-auto pistol for home protection. Now I am not saying the police are not doing their jobs, I just understand they cannot be everwhere at all times. Maryland is one of the few states that make it very difficult for someone to get a concealed carry permit. If Md. eased up on their requirements for a CCP I feel this area would be a much safer place to live. At least then the "THUGS" wouldn't know who is packing and who is not. By the way, I am 55 years old and I have lived here all my life, so I can remember when it was safe to go out after dark! I would also like to keep my cell phone so I could call the police when I was finished.
It's an M1 carbine in .30 cal. Look at that magazine. Look at the front of the stock. See how it tapers sharply? A weak round no doubt, but a part of American history and still hits 100 times harder than a cell phone.

I'll take the rifle over the cell phone any day.

Use the cell phone as a target next time you shoot and you'll be better off.

It's a child!!
Neither a cellphone nor a rifle do her any real good.
Think about it.

What? Believe it or not a child is fully capable of learning how to safely handle a weapon.
