The 2010 Maryland Liberty Scorecard Is OUT!

Just in time for the 2010 general election, the 2010 Maryland Liberty Scorecard is out.  Before you vote, see how your legislators voted on key issues that affect our individual and corporate liberty.

If you’re from the Eastern Shore, chances are you’re pretty well represented.  Delegates like Mike Smigiel (R-36), Addie Eckardt (R-37B), and Jeannie Haddaway (R-37B) are all stars when it comes to supporting liberty; ditto senators EJ Pipkin, Rich Colburn and Lowell Stoltzfus.  Sadly, those of us on the Lower Shore don’t fair quite as well.  With Sen. Lowell Stoltzfus (R-38) retiring, the liberty record of delegates Jim Mathias (D-38B) and Norm Conway (D-38B) are cause for worry.  Del. Rudy Cane (D-37A) is no champion of liberty but has a better record than either Conway or Mathias.

Fortunately, the election is just around the corner.  In addition to re-electing great legislators like Sen. Alex Mooney (R-3), Sen. EJ Pipkin (R-36), Sen. Richard Colburn (R-37), along with Smigiel, Eckardt, and Haddaway, we have a chance to elect great people like Michael James in 38, Mike McDermott and Marty Pusey in 38-B, Dustin Mills in 37-A, Justin Ready in 5-A, Chris Shank in 2, and a host of others.

For those of us who want Maryland to once again be the FREE STATE, this election is crucial!  Check out BOTH the 2010 Liberty Scorecard as well as the 2009 Liberty Scorecard.  Know who you are voting for!
