Salisbury Police Department Press Releases

On September 16, 2010 at approximately 4:30 am, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the area of East Church Street and Martin Street for the report of an assault. Upon arrival the officers met with an adult female victim who advised that while walking in the area she was contacted by an unknown male suspect. She walked to the suspect and the suspect grabbed her, attempting to take her behind a house. During the assault the suspect threatened the victim with a knife but never displayed a knife. The victim was not injured and was able to break free from the suspect. The suspect was last observed fleeing from the scene down Marshall Street.
The suspect was described as:
Black male, approximately 45 years of age, 5-09 in
height, approximately 160 pounds in weight, stocky
build, wearing blue jeans and a black tank top.

On September 15, 2010 at approximately 6:35 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police were on routine patrol in the area of West Isabella St. and observed the below listed suspect who was known by the officers to be wanted on an outstanding warrant. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.
ARRESTED: Sharaun Belote, 32 years of age

CHARGES: Maryland Parole Commission-
Parole Retake Warrant
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking

On September 16, 2010 at approximately 1:57 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the Centre at Salisbury for the report of a shoplifter. Upon arrival the officers met with Sears Department Store security who advised that the below listed suspect had been observed taking property from Sears without making payment. The suspect was checked and was found to also be in possession of clothing taken from two (2) other stores, the Friction Store and the Zumiez Store. All property was recovered and returned to the respective stores.
ARRESTED: Steven Maurice Easley, 52 years of age
Salisbury, Maryland
CHARGES: Theft (under $ 1000)
Theft (under $ 100) 2 counts
DISPOSITION: Both released to Central Booking

On September 16, 2010 at approximately 9:28 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police were on routine patrol in the area of E. Church Street and observed the below listed suspect, who was known to the officers to be wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant. The suspect was taken into custody without incident and was released to the Maryland State Police.
ARRESTED: Kyle Marquis Colon, 19 years of age

CHARGES: Maryland State Police Arrest Warrant-
Attempted 1st degree murder
DISPOSITION: Released to the Maryland State Police

On September 16, 2010 at approximately 9:52 pm, Officers of the Salisbury Police received a call to respond to the area of East Church Street and Linwood Avenue for the report of a disorderly crowd. Upon arrival the officers located the below listed suspect who was yelling and acting in a disorderly manner, inciting the crowd. Repeated attempts to calm the suspect were unsuccessful and the suspect was taken into custody. A search of the suspect, incident to arrest, resulted in the recovery of an operable stun gun.
ARRESTED: Tamir Juan Armour, 20 years of age

CHARGES: Disorderly conduct
Failure to obey a lawful order
Trespassing
Possession of a dangerous and
deadly weapon
DISPOSITION: Released to Central Booking
