I shop at Aldi's, nearly all of their produce is cheaper then other national grocer's, plus it's nearly all american grown produce. They have much lower prices across the board, I save easily 30$ a week. And the quality of their products is on par with any/all national brands. Try and find milk at 1.99 a gallon, a dozen eggs at .79, and no loaf of bread over 1.75.
I compare the ingredients of the name brand and the generic brand if they are the same and equal amounts, including the bonders and fillers the medical companies use. I will buy the cheaper generic brand.
12:10-I live in the Washington DC area, Aldi's are usually in larger suburban areas but they've been actively expanding throughout the recent economic downturn. They have an outstanding business model, and hopefully they'll open one in the Salisbury area sooner rather then later.
