A MULTICOLORED MESSAGE FROM YOUR CONGRESSMAN – PAID FOR BY YOU!

Last week residents of Maryland’s First Congressional District received from Frank Kratovil this “Official Business” flyer, printed on expensive pager in full color, titled “LEGISLATIVE UPDATE” and proclaiming in bold and large text “Ideas to Help Maryland Small Businesses CREATE JOBS.”

In very small text (it’s there – see if you can find it on the attached photos of the flyer) the public is informed that “This mailing was prepared, published and mailed at taxpayer expense.”

Not included in Mr. Kratovil’s “ideas” is a general tax cut that would be made possible by eliminating meaningless messages like his that are “prepared, published and mailed at taxpayer expense and other waste that is both perpetrated and perpetuated by the US Congress.

By the way, Mr. Kratovil, how much did each of those fancy flyers cost the taxpayers?

This was a campaign brochure at tax payers expense.

The man is desparate to get reelected and will do whatever it takes to do so, including wasting all of the tax payers money that he can get his hands on. After all, he is a liberal.

You're a dope for posting this. Why not go ahead and complain that the sky is blue while your're at it. EVERY SINGLE member of Congress gets to do this! It's a perk of the job! And guess what, dummy, if Andy Harris won the District 1 seat, he'd be doing the EXACT SAME THING!

11:10, while I feel your frustration (I too get tired of all the BS being spouted by the far right), I think the overall point is that congressmen of all stripes waste our money doing this kind of thing

11:10--

I guess that Frankie's campaign promise to be different and change the way it's always been were pure BS.

So, because it's "multicolored" it's "flashy"? Do you realize how extremely minimal it is in cost to go from black and white to color? I'd rather see a politician spend money to reach out to the people they represent than to gouge taxpayers for benefits or teleconferencing.
