Seeing off Pick Up America this weekend was more than exciting. After burning sage on the Atlantic coast, we set off on our journey. So many people came out to support the Pick Up Artists, and it was amazing to see the community come together so well.

Picking up trash was an interesting experience — far more interesting than I would have imagined. There were countless cigarette butts, but besides that, much of the trash fell into some categories, and all of the trash told a story. For example; we found a huge amount of McDonald’s bags, although the first McDonalds nearby was more than a few miles away.

Too bad people will just trash everything up again.I am dumbfounded by all the litter in the ditches, roadsides and yes even in paved parking lots. How hard is it to keep a litterbag in your car and take it in to dump it when yu get home.Hell, everyone has plastic grocery bags piled up-USE THEM!
