Ones thing for certain with the BOE.They go through the motions but have little respect for the public.

8:18 AM is correct. The most disrespectful person is Dr. Frederickson. He treats everyone down here like back woods rednecks.

Be careful with John Frederickson. His plan is to do away with the Magnet Program. Don't let him fool you into thinking he is expanding it to all the schools instead of just the two. You people that have an interest in the Magnet Program need to voice your opinion about him and Ron Willey's plan to do away with such an important academic program.

The Board wants to disband magnet and have no grouping in any school that puts bright children together in classes. The plan is for the brightest to be mixed with the least capable. All studies show this is bad for the bright kids but might help control the rowdy ones who don't want to work. If the Bd. members are saying they want magnet classes in every school, they are lying.

Frederickson needs to go!!

Someone needs to ask the Board in public comments whether they are in favor of magnet in every elementary school or if they favor mixed ability groups. Let Margo Handy answer and make sure she picks one or the other. She is a master of uttering lots of words without ever stating her position.

The Board needs to get rid of positions that are coordinators. One PR person needs to go. Year round is too expensive. Have one director do what Mr. Walker and Ms. Finger do but not both of them. Eliminate all liaisons. No take home cars. Don't pay people to do volunteer programs like DI and others because they are supposed to be all volunteer. No opening day mess at the civic center. No retreats for administrators and central office people because what a waste of time.

What about having a certified teachers in ISS w/an assistant? When the assistant does MUST of the work. Look at the $$$ you would save!!!!!!
