Today was a pretty wild day at the Albero Ranch. Some how, some way, our two horses found a way to remove a stockade gate off the post and took off for the hills. A woman pulled up in our driveway explaining to my Wife that two horses were running down Rt. 54 and she thought she had recognized them from our property.
My Wife knew I had just fed them and then I left for Salisbury and when she looked around the pasture and then the paddock area, they were gone. She then saw the gate lying on the ground and the next thing I knew I was getting a frantic call for help.
I immediate came back to Delmar and she had already been driving around looking for the horses but she had no luck. I also drove around quite a bit and couldn't find them. I called the Delmar Fire Department and asked if they had anyone out and about, could they keep their eyes open for two horses on the loose.
I finally pulled down a neighbors long driveway and asked if they had seen a couple of horses and a guy standing there said, yeah, they were just behind my home off of Rt. 54.
To make a long story short, with the help of the Delmar Fire Department and neighbors we were able to locate the horses about 2 miles from our home hanging out with a family eating grass on the side of the road. Man, you talk about some proud horses too! They were standing there like they had just won the Kentucky Derby. We had to park our vehicles on the side of the road and walk these two pain in the a$$es back two miles across plowed corn fields and once we got them back in and secured the gate forever, they stood there banging their hooves on the gate thinking, woo ho, we're gonna do this again. NOT!
After everyone was secure I made a trip up to Sam's Club and then Dunkin Doughnuts and made sure these fine men and women were taken care of for their efforts. I tried getting one of those monster round subs Sam's Club makes but they didn't have any. The doughnuts were the next best thing. Thanks Again Delmar Fire Department for all your help.

Help numerous people throughout the year with fires, accidents, life and death emergencies, that doesn't deserve anything more than hamburger. Help Joe round up his horses, what a great bunch! They deserve something right away!
Giddy up:) LOL
I'm surprised they helped your stupid ass, after all the shit you said about them. How quickly you turn to the FD when something stupid goes on at your house. Horses? When did the FD start worrying about horses? You want to piss and moan about us wasting taxpayers money running too many pieces of equipment on real calls, then you call the FD to help find horses?
Turn them into glue. You're a worthless piece of shit.
the horses probably were sick of you joe
