Wicomico County Sheriffs Department Press Release

Although I had thought someone else within the MSM would have picked this one up, from what I can see, they didn't.

Mr. Gurney Lee York of Salisbury, Maryland was recently arrested by the Sheriffs Department and Maryland State Police. If you'll recall the horrible accident a few months ago where a 14 year old child was killed after Gurney wrecked his vehicle on Brick Kiln Road?

The arrest was in conclusion to a Maryland State Police investigation where the 14 year old child was killed during this car accident.

York was released to the Wicomico County Detention Center's booking & Receiving to be seen by a District Court Commissioner on a preset bond of $50,000.00.

The charges were, Negligent Homicide-Auto/Boat-CDS.

It was on WBOC a few days ago. I don't watch wmdt or read the newspaper, so I don't know about them.

This young man was stopped by police three days after the accident for doing over 90 mph on the by-pass. He didn't learn a thing.

Good, I was on that call and the images are still very well imprinted in my head. I'm not permitted to speak on the details discussed with MSP the night of the crash, but I can say there are people driving slower on the autobahn. A young man was tragically killed because of the stupidity of a grown man.

You should have seen the accident in Hebron.

The accident in Hebron was definately a horrific crash. But when I look at two cars ripped apart like that and someone dies it's not as shocking as a vehicle simply on it' side, intact & killing someone. Not that the loss of any one life is more tragic then the other, just the circumstances involved with each fatal incident vary & so does the impact it has on you as a person.
